The mail man brought me this box of fabric scraps this morning ( ebay). It’s all spectacular stuff, lot’s of stripes and little ginghams, perfect for birds and sails, every bit of it. This is just some –

a ship and a bird
I know this is way too many pictures of one little ship, The Meriwether, but I can’t help it. I get ridiculously excited about things the day they get finished, so in a day or two I’m gonna finish another ship and I’ll probably post too many pictures of that one too. I managed to restrain myself from posting a ton of pictures of that little bird in just about every setting you could imagine a little fabric bird in.
And a little bird. This is my whiplash intro post so I had to include a bird.

horse #45 collin
Another baby, collin is the son of mills who was the first horse in the hundred horse project. Technically, when I made mills it wasn’t the hundred horse project yet, I was just making some
cardboard horses.

Here’s an in progress shot of collin for Work in Progress (WIP) Friday .

sails
More ships are coming soon, including a new non-translucent sort that resembles today’s horse alice. Lot’s of ship ideas have emerged from the horses. It was a perfect dry, sunny day in Brooklyn today for paper mache and dying fabric for sails. I need a drying rack (what I’d love is a clothes line), the window arrangement isn’t very efficient.
