I’ve got good friends

I do, and they really showed up for me on Saturday for THE GIFT on grand. I’ve been working my ass off and had come pretty much unglued by Saturday morning but my amazing pit crew put the whole thing together. So thanks, to each and every one of you, I would have been lost without you. I’m still kinda unglued from the effort of the last couple weeks and my computer is being all slow and weird too so everything is taking me forever including updating my shop. I finally got it done and there are a few new birds there now.

The show on Saturday was great. It was my first time doing anything like that and I wasn’t sure what to expect but it went really well and I learned a lot. Thanks to everybody who came by to say hi and to Sodafine for putting it together.

I’ve been working on wedding cake toppers. The Bride and groom birds in the photo are gone but I should have some new things available by February .

The ship above is my newest “The Fortitude”. I’m going to take and post my customary too many pictures tomorrow.

  2. congratulations on a good show, and picking great friends. and i too, think that photo at Grand Army Plaza is wonderful.

  3. I love your birds – I learned about them via Lena Corwin. I’m also proud of you (although we’ve not met) because you did your first show and I know how hard that is because I was alongside a close friend when she did her first show, and I recall how nervous and stressed she was. The day of the show, she felt “unglued” too as you mentioned, I can only imagine how much internal pressure you must have felt. But, huge kuddos to you for having the courage to do your first show. I wish you many, many more and much success!

  4. Hello Ann,
The show was wonderful , I went home with loads of beautiful things…including a Willy! We love him here and I don’t think he minds NJ all that much (we’ve been out of Bklyn now for at least 10 years and always miss it)

    Best wishes.

  5. Yet another beautiful ship, the translucency reminds me of old abandoned snail shells that you find in the garden. Since I am stuck on the other coast and can’t see it in person, thanks for sharing.
