  2. So beautiful – that is exactly how I would like to look (oh yes, if I were a bird). I made your gorgeous boats with my 6 year old son’s class as they do a bit of sailing in the summer. They were an utter hit. So now there is a classroom in New Zealand with your boats floating happily in the air.

  3. She’s so beautiful. I’ve just come across your blog over the weekend. Really amazing work! My children are looking forward to trying the horses and the sail boat! Thanks for sharing.

  7. Thank you! I like photographing the ballerinas and they might present some selected scenes from Swan Lake later this spring.
This little ballerina, and some others I hope, will be part of the next shop update.

Kate! That’s wonderful!! I’m so glad you shared the boat pattern with them.

  8. I really love your work. This one is so precious and unique. You bring very different qualities to these pieces. There is something that reaches out to the viewer that is not present in other artists work.

  9. this is beautiful! I wonder if you check the ‘info’ email? I have been so enjoying making horses lately – and just wanted to thank you for being so generous with your patterns and tutorials – your stampede has inspired me – and it’s catching – there are now quite a few horses here and there in Northumberland, North of England! Thank you very much

  10. Ann, I just love your irreverent style and fabulous creative process. I was hopping around your website and couldn’t get over how fun all of the spiders were, or the pairs of sweethearts. It’s been such a joy to discover your art!

  11. This is absolutely exquisite – what a little gem! Every little girl who dances in a recital this Spring should receive one of these enchanting ballerinas as a remembrance. Delightful!

this is the pinnacle of FUN! how wonderfully whimsical and even on points. it would be really fun to put an eye patch on this dancer for that final Ann Wood touch! too bad you weren”t doing stuff like this is your ‘artistic phase’ a year ago.
