sketchbook : week 23

Week 23 in my yearlong sketchbook practice.  I have 161 little squares, it has outgrown it’s box and weighs one and one half pounds.  It has become a habit but I wonder what will and what should happen after the year has past, after my commitment expires.

    • Thanks Cynthia! That s something I’d like to play with.

      • Wow, yeah, spoonflower would work so well for you Anne. That horse one with the top of the pile splattery type one are my favourites so far, mixing them on fabric would look great!!

  1. Little pieces of art work to sell or share with others… or combine several to create a larger piece.

    • Thanks Karen – good ideas – I do think combining or grouping would be interesting. Looking toward to seeing them all together. I’m concerned though, about the end of the practice – I committed to a year – not sure if I’ll stop when the year is up – it’s time consuming but the exercise has been valuable.

  2. I love that poem on the sketch from the 23rd. And the sketch from the 25th is beautiful.

  3. Thanks Cari – “Those Winter Sundays” is one of my favorites.

  4. Coasters?? Or Cards (especially if you send a note with an order)?? Hanging from a ribbon (more than one per ribbon, like beads…and back to back)?

  5. Ooooooh. Several of these remind me of the work of my favorite artist — Wassily Kandinsky.
